MckLinky Monday - Career Day

For today's MckLinky Monday with the RHOK Mrs. Hart wants to know -What if your kid had a career day at school - What would they say about you?!

That's a good question! I don't think there's ever been a career day at my kids' school . And sure they'd probably know what to say about my husband -Daddy works with computers. But, as for me it would probably be a little harder to explain -my daughter might remember the days when I had to take her to daycare before I rushed to my customer service job -wouldn't necessarily consider that my career though. I would hope my kids would say say something like - Now mommy stays home -gets us to school, takes care of things at home, takes care of us when we're sick, drives us to places we need to go, she's also a writer too! I hope they'd say something like that not - Mommy stays home and uh ... plays on the computer?! Seems I'm fighting this kind of assumption a lot - as most of you know -there's more to being a SAHM than that :)

I left out the writing part...I don't think that would even dare cross my kiddos sweet little minds!

a tough question when they are little too. And that assumption... well, that's what they think about me too. I have friends that call me from work... they have actual jobs... and ask me to lookup info for them!! Becuz "you're online all the time." Give me a break. I don't take my laptop to the bathroom.

Your blog is so pretty! I came over from RHOK after my first MckLinky Monday.

I wonder when/if people will realize "how" things get done. Maybe they think you work with a million little magic ferries. That would be nice!

All my kids think I do is clean. At least the Doc knows better. Ha!

It's so funny to get a glimpse into our kiddos heads...see what they think about things.

Kids are hilarious. Up until a few weeks ago, I worked at Nickelodeon... so my son always told his friends and teachers that I worked with Dora. And one day, he asked me why he never saw me on TV. Ummmm, yeah. I always had to explain to people that a) I was only a grunt at Nick.. .it's not like I actually hung out with Dora or any of her other creators and b) Dora's a cartoon.

I'll bet your kids know that you are the chief of the house! Be sure and check my blog on Tuesday morning. There will be something there for you.

My daughter tells my husband that I really know about computers since I'm on it all day, which I'm not really.
