MckLinky Monday - What do you write about?

Today on the RHOK - Mrs McGillicutty is just getting back from BlogHer '10 in NYC and there was posed the question -What do you write about? Apparently you're supposed to have a concise shpill called an elevator pitch - Interesting! - 1st time I've heard of that. And that is the MckLinky Monday question - What do I write about? ...
It's funny because I never thought I'd have a blog -I've always enjoyed writing -it can be fun and cathartic. After being a Stay at home mom for awhile -I did start this blog though.
And at the time I didn't really know that I would join so many in the "Mommy blog" thing -That's the general category I tell people- Mommy Blog. But, I guess if I had come up with an "Elevator pitch" -I might say something like: I blog about the ups and downs of marriage and motherhood AKA -The Mom Mayhem :)
Of course as I've mentioned before sometimes it's not just about what I blog about but, why I blog -Being a SAHM it's nice to feel relevant and be connected to others that can relate. Of course I've also dreamt that 1 day maybe I'd have some divine inspiration and write a novel that took off (ala Stephenie Meyer or J.K. Rowling ;) But, I enjoy writing here and more professionally on Examiner.com
So, what about you - What do you write about? Be sure to join in the MckLinky fun on the RHOK!

Another gal who writes what she knows... your life. To vent maybe about the mayhem and mess of that life. I've never understood why some blogs bash "mom bloggers". We all have something to say and not just the boys a LastOOGle or whatever.
And wouldn't be nice to be a "Big Blog" that gives away prizes and is followed by thousands?? But honestly, I don't follow those blogs because I want the personal connection that blogging brings me. I've made some really good friends. That's what blogging does for me.

My laptop was in the shop for 2 weeks and I just couldn't bring myself to sit at the desktop... it's sooooo slow! And then some of the questions for the link up I just couldn't relate to... Kids going back to school... mine are 24 and 26. Just as I have a complicated relationship with my mother, my girls have one with me. But I blog almost every other day something about my dumbass Okie life.

Thanks for stopping by!

I think *ups and downs of life* is an excellent elevator statement! ;)

Ah, yes. Aspirations of becoming the next Stehenie Meyer...I can relate to that. Well, maybe not. Maybe I'm just happy with other people writing things that I can escape to? You're a great writer. I love reading your blog!
